Take Route 270 off the Trans Canada Highway (Route 1)

Near Orwell Historic Village. Turn northeast off Route 1 at Orwell.

Valleyfield Demonstration Woodlot
Woodland
From Montague take Route 326 southwest to the junction with Rote 354 at Valleyfield. Turn right.

MacLure's Pond and Trail, Murray River
Freshwater pond
Take Route 4 from Wood Islands or Montague. In Murray River look for signs.

Murray Head, Beach Point and Murray Harbour
Along the shores and cliffs of Cape Bear, Murray Head, Peach Point and Murray Harbour a variety of coastal marshland and woodland areas.
Proceed east on Route 4 and then Route 18 from Route 1 at Wood Islands.

Souris Harbour and Causeway
Tidal Flats, salt marshes and bay areas.
On Route 2 just east of the intersection with 306.

New Harmony Demonstration Woodlot
Woodland
From 305 take Route 335 to Route 303 (the New Harmony Road) and proceed north.

East Point
Turn east of Route 16 at East Pont, proceed to the lighthouse.

Priest Pond
Freshwater marsh, coniferous woodland.
On Route 16 just west of the intersection with Route 302.

Mount Stewart Marsh
Mount Stewart is located 18 miles east of Charlottetown off Route 2.

An Island Build For Cycling:
  • The Confederation Trail - Cardigan Junction to Montague is a 10 km stretch of The Confederation Trail.
  • Scenic Heritage Roads
    • County Line Road - Hills and Harbours - located in Queens County, NW of Murray River. The road begins at Caledonia (Rte 325) at the intersection of Rte 315 and runs north for 2.6 km until it intersects with Rte 317.
    • Jack's Road - Near the south shore and Wood Island, this road runs from Rte 1 in Flat River to Rte 207 for a distance of 4.1 meters.
  • Destination Woodlots
    • Valleyfield - This 1.4 km trail takes approximately one hour to walk moving at a moderate pace. Located at the intersection of Rte 326 and Rte 354 near Montague. Good bird watching.
